Lumbridge Life

A tiny unofficial Lumbridge: NPCs, banks, choppable trees, and things that fight back.

Welcome to Lumbridge

Castle and bank to the north, goblins west, cows south, the Lum east, swamp further south. Other adventurers are already here. Click the world.

About Lumbridge Life

Lumbridge Life is a free, unofficial Old School RuneScape fan game you play in the browser: spawn south of the castle, click to walk, chop, fish, cook, mine, bank, and fight the odd goblin. It is a fun project on OSRSTools — not Jagex, not a private server, not a replacement for the real client. Progress stays in this browser. More of the world is coming soon.

A fun project — not a client

Lumbridge Life started as a weekend-style sandbox: can we put a click-to-walk slice of Lumbridge in the browser without pretending it is Old School RuneScape? The answer is a small map, simple sprites, and the usual early-game loop — trees, shrimp, a bank, and goblins that poke back. Treat it as a toy between herb runs. If you want the real game, that is still Jagex’s client.

What is on the map today

North is Lumbridge Castle (Duke, cooking range, bank). The courtyard has a fountain and Hans. West is the goblin house. Town has the general store, church, and a melee tutor. South is the cow pen and chickens, then Lumbridge Swamp with dead trees and rats. East is the River Lum (shrimp and trout), a bridge, and a starter mine with a second bank booth that shares the same chest. Other “adventurers” wander and chat — they are local flavour, not other players on a server.

More coming soon

This page will grow. Planned next steps are a larger world, more talkable NPCs, tighter combat, and extra skilling spots — still unofficial, still free, still saved only in your browser. Check back; expect more soon.

How to play

  1. Hit Spawn in Lumbridge. You start on the path south of the castle.
  2. Click the map to walk, or use WASD / arrow keys. Hover a tile to see its name.
  3. Chop trees (oaks at 15, willows at 30). Fallen logs on the ground can be picked up. A bronze axe from the shop chops a bit faster.
  4. Talk to the banker, shopkeeper, Father Aereck, the combat tutor, Hans, or the Duke.
  5. Fight goblins west of town, cows in the pen, chickens, or giant rats in the swamp. Eat food when they hit back.
  6. Bank at the castle or the mine booth (same chest). Sell junk or buy food at the general store. Progress saves locally as you play.

FAQ

Is Lumbridge Life the real Old School RuneScape?
No. It is a small unofficial fan project on OSRSTools.net. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a substitute for Jagex Ltd. Play real OSRS on the official client.
What can you do in Lumbridge Life?
Click to walk around a slice of Lumbridge: chop trees and pick up log piles, fish the River Lum, cook on the castle range, mine copper and tin across the bridge, bank in the castle or at the mine booth, talk to NPCs, and fight goblins, cows, chickens, or swamp rats. Progress saves in this browser only.
Does my character save?
Yes. Skills, inventory, bank, coins, hitpoints, name, and map position store in localStorage on this device. Nothing is uploaded. Reset wipes that save. Another browser or phone starts fresh.
Are the levels and XP the same as OSRS?
XP per action uses familiar OSRS numbers (25 for a regular tree, 10 for shrimp, and so on) and the real XP-to-level curve so 15 Woodcutting still unlocks oaks. Respawn times are faster on purpose — this is a short browser session, not a 99 grind.
Will there be more than Lumbridge?
Expect more soon: a bigger map, more NPCs, and extra systems as this stays a fun side project. It will not become the official game.
Do I need RuneLite or an account?
No download, no Jagex login, no paywall. Open the page and spawn. Inventory and chat sit on the game view.
