How to Get to Gemstone Crab
Gemstone Crab is a Varlamore world boss that sits in one of three Tlati Rainforest mines and burrows to the next about every 10 minutes. Hard gate is Children of the Sun. Once you’re in Varlamore, use Quetzals or fairy ring AIS, crawl any mine cave, and you’re on the crab — no world-hopping needed.
Skip if: Children of the Sun isn’t done (no Varlamore).

Requirements- Children of the Sun — only hard requirement to fight the crab.
- Twilight's Promise started — unlocks Quetzal transport (Renu). Strongly recommended; walking from Fortis every trip is slow.
- Combat gear you’re happy AFKing in. Crab has effectively no defence.
- Optional: pickaxe for shell gems after it burrows (top 16 damage dealers only).
Still locked out of Varlamore? How to get to Varlamore
Fastest routes- Quetzal → Tal Teklan (or Kastori if you built that landing). From Renu fly south into the rainforest, run to the nearest Tlati mine.
- Fairy ring AIS (Auburn Valley) → run NW to Renu → Quetzal to Tal Teklan.
- Civitas teleport / charter → west toward Hunter Guild / Renu → Quetzal into Tlati.

Finding it after it moves- Three spawns: North, East, and South-west Tlati Rainforest mines.
- Crawl the cave at any of the three mines — it always drops you at the crab’s current location. That’s faster than hopping worlds.
- Empty mine? Talk to Ru Merald nearby for directions.
- Health bar on the crab is a timer, not real HP. When it hits 0% the crab burrows, sheds a shell, and relocates.
Fight notes- XP per hit is slightly reduced vs normal crabs (~87.5%), but less downtime usually wins for mass AFK.
- No cannon, no thralls, no Slayer helm bonus — it isn’t a Slayer task.
- Centre tile under the crab is safe from its attacks until it burrows and shoves everyone out.
- Hardcores: it can chip you. Don’t AFK at 1 HP. Casual accounts rarely care.
- After burrow, top 16 damage dealers can mine the shell for 3 uncut gems (opal → dragonstone). Bring a pickaxe if you want that.
