Follow this quest order to efficiently unlock content, gain XP, and progress through OSRS
Cook's Assistant
Quest Points: 1, Cooking XP: 300
Easy, quick starter quest that teaches basic quest mechanics and gives a small XP reward.
X Marks the Spot
Quest Points: 1, Antique Lamp
Simple early quest; the antique lamp gives a small XP boost you can use for a needed skill.
The Restless Ghost
Quest Points: 1, Prayer XP: 1,125
Unlocks Prayer XP which is invaluable early on for confronting tougher enemies; very short.
Ernest the Chicken
Quest Points: 4, Feather
A fun low-requirement quest that introduces travel and basic puzzle mechanics.
Witch's Potion
Quest Points: 1, Magic XP: 325
Provides a bit of Magic XP and familiarizes you with potion mechanics.
Rune Mysteries
Quest Points: 1, Access to Runecrafting
Grants access to Runecrafting, opening a new set of training methods and profit opportunities.
Waterfall Quest
Quest Points: 1, Attack/Strength XP: 13,750 each
Massive combat XP reward early — do this as soon as you can to boost melee levels without training.
Fight Arena
Quest Points: 2, Attack XP: 12,175
Good early Attack XP and introduces combat-focused quest mechanics; quick and rewarding.
Tree Gnome Village
Quest Points: 2, Attack XP: 11,450
Large Attack XP reward that helps clear low-level content and trains combat efficiently.
The Grand Tree
Quest Points: 5, Attack/Agility XP
Provides both Attack and Agility XP plus access to Gnome Stronghold areas.
Witch's House
Quest Points: 4, Hitpoints XP: 6,325
Good hitpoints XP which helps survivability early in the game.
Vampire Slayer
Quest Points: 3, Attack XP: 4,825
Low requirements, decent Attack XP, and unlocks easier access to other content.
Monkey Madness I
Quest Points: 3, Attack/Defence XP
Unlocks the Dragon scimitar reward and grants solid combat XP — a must for melee accounts.
Lost City
Quest Points: 3, Access to Zanaris
Grants access to Zanaris and allows use of dragon dagger/longsword for slash/stab options.
Fairy Tale Part I
Quest Points: 2, Access to Fairy Rings
Unlocks the Fairy Ring transportation network — huge time saver for travel.
Animal Magnetism
Quest Points: 1, Ava's Device
Provides Ava's accumulator which is invaluable for ranged training and ammo savings.
Priest in Peril
Quest Points: 1, Access to Morytania
Unlocks Morytania content and critical teleportation options.
Horror from the Deep
Quest Points: 2, God Books
Gives access to God books which are useful for prayer training and lore; a straightforward quest.
Druidic Ritual
Quest Points: 4, Herblore access
Unlocks Herblore, opening up a major set of training and potion-making content.
Lost Tribe
Quest Points: 1, Mining/Agility XP
Small XP rewards and helps with access/touchpoints for later content.
Death Plateau
Quest Points: 1, Attack XP: 3,000
Low requirements, modest Attack XP — quick to complete for a useful boost.
Troll Stronghold
Quest Points: 1, Access to Trollheim
Grants access to Trollheim which is used by several later quests and activities.
Desert Treasure
Quest Points: 3, Ancient Magicks
Unlocks Ancient Magicks — essential for certain PvP/PvM strategies.
Recipe for Disaster (All Subquests)
Quest Points: 10, Barrows Gloves
Long series of subquests but rewards Barrows gloves — one of the best early game melee gloves.
Monkey Madness II
Quest Points: 4, Heavy Ballista access
High-level reward and unlocks powerful ranged gear — endgame-focused but worth it.
Dragon Slayer II
Quest Points: 5, Mythical Cape
One of the most challenging quests with great rewards; grants powerful equipment and prestige.
Song of the Elves
Quest Points: 4, Access to Prifddinas
Unlocks Prifddinas and high-level skilling content; a major milestone for maxers.
A Night at the Theatre
Quest Points: 2, Theatre of Blood entry
Unlocks entry to the Theatre of Blood raid — elite PvM content.
Sins of the Father
Quest Points: 2, Access to Darkmeyer
Grants access to Darkmeyer and vampyre content; important for certain endgame activities.
Waterfall Quest should be done as early as possible for massive Attack and Strength XP
Recipe for Disaster is actually multiple subquests - complete them gradually
Fairy Tale Part I unlocks fairy rings, one of the best transportation methods
