Quick tips
  • Royal Trouble increases subjects from 10 → 15 and unlocks Farm/Hardwood pools.
  • Coffer deduction is ~10% daily (capped). Keep coffers above the daily cap to get maximum returns.
  • Run multiple simulations to see typical variance — results are sampled from the game's loot pools.
FAQ
What is Royal Trouble?

Completing the quest grants three extra subjects and unlocks the farm and hardwood resource pools. Toggle the option in the simulator to enable those effects.

Does this use GE prices?

Not yet — the simulator returns item counts. We plan to map those items to live Grand Exchange prices in a future update so you can estimate GP/day.

Where do the pools come from?

Pools are based on the Old School RuneScape wiki calculator pages. The simulator uses the wiki's pools but simplifies some mechanics for readability.

How this simulator works

Overview

This tool models the Miscellania kingdom by sampling from area reward pools for each assigned subject. It shows aggregated results so you can quickly compare assignments and understand what resources your kingdom is likely to return.

Assignments & subjects

You assign subjects to six areas: Wood, Herbs, Mining, Fishing, Farm and Hardwood. By default you can assign up to 10 subjects; completing the Royal Trouble quest unlocks 3 extra subjects.

Coffers & approval

The simulator accepts a coffer amount and approval percent. The game's daily deduction and caps are approximated here — we apply a 10% daily deduction (capped at the per-day limit), and enforce the documented maximum coffer values.

Simulation results

Each assigned subject generates a single random roll against the chosen area's pool. The tool samples those rolls and totals the results. Run several simulations to observe variance; the simulator shows counts and icons for dropped items.

Next steps

  • Map drops to live GE prices to estimate GP/day.
  • Refine pools to match the wiki's exact probability tables.
  • Add image assets for any missing items (e.g., special hardwood/mahogany icons).
