Daily XP assumes you check and replant on cooldown for each block. Hardwoods take ~3–4 days, so that line is a long-run average — not what you get tomorrow morning. Wood trees are check-health XP runs (no log sales). Fruit counts 6 produce after GE tax.

What a tree run usually is

Most accounts teleport a loop of regular tree patches, then fruit, and swing by Fossil Island hardwoods when those are up. Growth clocks differ — yews and magics are same-day chores, fruit is a 16-hour timer, teak/mahogany stretch across days — so the useful question is rarely “one magic patch cost,” it is “what does my whole loop cost and how much Farming XP am I buying.”

Patches & growth

Regular trees use 40-minute stages (oak ~2h40 through magic 8h). Fruit trees are six stages of 160 minutes (16h total). Hardwoods are long: teak ~74h40, mahogany/camphor/ ironwood ~85h20, rosewood ~106h40. Farming Guild tree unlocks at 65; guild fruit at 85. Untick anything you have not unlocked yet so the buy list matches your pouch.

FAQ

How many tree patches are there in OSRS?
Seven regular tree patches (Farming Guild from 65, Nemus Retreat in Varlamore), seven fruit patches (Farming Guild fruit from 85, Kastori in Varlamore), and hardwood at Fossil Island (three patches), Locus Oasis (one, after The Ribbiting Tale…), and Anglers’ Retreat (one, 51 Sailing).
What do farmers charge to protect trees?
Oak tomatoes(5); willow apples(5); maple oranges(5); yew 10 cactus spines; magic 25 coconuts. Fruit and hardwood payments match the wiki Farming tables — e.g. palm 15 papaya, dragonfruit 15 coconuts, teak 15 limpwurt, mahogany 25 Yanillian hops.
Are tree runs profitable?
Almost never for wood trees — you pay saplings (and usually protect) for check-health XP, then pay to clear. Fruit can claw back a bit from six harvested fruit after GE tax. Treat the calculator’s net as “how much XP is costing you,” not a money maker.
How should I read ≈ XP / day?
It assumes you always replant on growth cooldown. Magic trees (~8h) can be done a few times a day; hardwoods (~3–4 days) dilute into a long-run average. Use it to compare yew vs magic vs dragonfruit, not as a promise for tomorrow’s XP drop.
